“Nothing happens until something moves” (Albert Einstein)
Combining our goal to bring YelleB’s artistic vision to people who may not be regular theater goers, and finance our creative activity, we present the “Dance Exposure” program: a short performance from our recent work, followed by a Q&A with the artists, and ending with an instructed movement activity.
The performance “Part A: The Meating” is a physical and emotional duet revealing a human story. The characters are trying to dissolve the emotional barriers between them so they can really meet each other and experience true intimacy. For “Dance Exposure” we have created a special version of the work, which can fit any size space – from a large living room to a big conference hall.
Post performance discussion The discussion is designed to entice people to think and meditate about the questions explored in the piece: “What are personal walls? How do they serve us? How do they inhibit us?” Such a discussion mutually enriches the audience, artists and the artistic process. We document the process for use in our artistic work.
Movement activity The movement activity is tailored to the specific community and event. It is designed to promote personal well-being, as well as social “ice-breaking”, team building, and plain fun. This is done through creative self-expression, physical awareness exercises, and group/partnering work. We utilize these very tools in our personal training, creation process, and for our health and joy.
“Dance Exposure” is an artistic, intellectual and experiential event. It is tailored to the specific audience, and in accordance with the needs and wants of the specific group. The length of the activity can range from one hour, to a full day program with the artists.
